Scarlet & Gray Trio Earn All-CHSL Laurels on Diamond

Three members of the Central Catholic baseball team collected All-CHSL accolades, the Catholic High School League recently announced.

Senior Beau Gardner earned All-Catholic laurels, junior Draden Wardrop was named All-League, and senior Camdyn Ditmyer garnered All-Academic honors.

Gardner tallied a 4-5 mark with a 3.59 ERA on the mound, giving up 39 runs (26 earned runs) on 51 hits with a squad-best 56 strikeouts in 50.2 innings.

Wardrop batted a team-high .362 (25-of-69) with 25 runs scored, 5 RBI, and a squad-best 26 stolen bases during the spring.  Earlier this year, he received All-League honors on the hardwood.

This past fall as a member of the boys’ soccer team, Ditmyer collected All-League laurels.

Under of the direction of head coach Jeff Mielcarek, the Scarlet & Gray posted a 6-18 overall record in 2025.
