Alivia Fineske Chosen Student of the Month for November

Senior Alivia Fineske is a member of the National Honor Society, Senior Student Council, the Sideline Spirit Core Team, Campus Ministry Core Team, and the IrishTHON Core Team.  She is also a Kairos Retreat leader, and she plays girls’ tennis.

Alivia’s favorite class is AP Psychology with Ms. Hannah Bluhm (Class of 2017).  “I enjoy learning about the human functions, and Ms. Bluhm always has fun and interactive activities for us as we learn!” she explained. “It is the best way to start my day, and I have learned so much this year.”

Alivia wanted to attend Central Catholic because of the school spirit and the opportunities available to all students.  “The authenticity of our school is special, and every staff member is beyond helpful, encouraging, and welcoming,” she said.  “I have been able to take advantage of every opportunity that allows me to grow as a person, and become a leader as I leave high school and prepare for my future.”

“Liv is an incredible leader in the yearbook class,” said Carli Christenson, yearbook teacher and CCHS graphic designer.  “She came up with this year's theme for the Centripetal.  She always comes in with a positive attitude and readiness to learn, and I can tell how hard a worker she is when it comes to her activities outside the classroom.”

Outside of Central Catholic, Alivia is part of the “Catching Up With Jack” non-profit organization team, and she is involved with the youth group at Saint Joseph Parish in Maumee.  She is a teen leader and she leads worship for other parishioners in her community.  Alivia works part time at Local Roots Juice Company, where she loves to make healthy food for customers, and she is starting to learn photography and develop photo and editing skills in her free time.

After high school, Alivia plans to attend college to major in marketing with a minor in graphic design.  She would like to work in the field of communications, specifically as a communications designer.
