Get to Know CCHS Staffulty Member - Randall Pryor

- What subjects and grade levels do you teach?
This is my 1st year teaching at Central Catholic, and I teach physical education to freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors.

- What is your educational background?
I attended E.L. Bowsher High School and graduated in 2015.  I earned a Bachelor of Science in sports coaching and recreation from The Ohio State University in 2019.

- What did you do before joining the CCHS staffulty?
I was a varsity assistant boys’ basketball coach at Roy C. Start High School and Director of Youth Development: Sports & Recreation at the Ann Arbor YMCA.

- What inspired you to become a teacher?
I wanted to create lasting positive impact that will mold the next generation of leaders.

- What made you want to teach at Central Catholic specifically?
It was the right timing in my book of life.  I was looking to turn a page in the next step of youth development and sports.

- What do you hope your impact will be on your students?
I hope that my impact on the students is not only positive, but that it cultivates an understanding for the students that high school is the foundation for the rest of your life.  High school will not be their peak, but they will need to understand hard work, dedication, and discipline.

- What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
My hobbies include coaching, playing, and analyzing the game of basketball.  I also collect sneakers (Jordans, Kobes, Yeezy, etc.)

- Is there anything else you’d like to include?
I had the privilege of studying abroad in Japan for 2 weeks during my undergraduate tenure, and I am a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.
