5 Girls’ Lacrosse Players Collect All-CHSL Laurels

Five members of the Central Catholic girls’ lacrosse team collected All-CHSL laurels, the Catholic High School League recently announced.

Highlighting the Scarlet & Gray’s honorees were junior Addison Winkler and sophomore Avery Marsh, who were named All-Catholic.  Marsh led CCHS in goals (51), assists (4), and total points (55).  The duo was also tabbed honorable mention All-Region.

Two Fighting Irish also garnered All-League accolades.  They included senior Nia Hunter and senior Esther Jumbe.  Hunter finished 2nd on the squad in goals (18), while Jumbe was tied for 3rd (16).

In addition, senior Aubrey Lawson was tabbed to the All-Academic squad.

The trio of Marsh, Winkler, and Hunter are earning all-conference honors for the 2nd-straight year.  A season ago, Hunter was named 2nd-team All-TRAC, while Winkler and Marsh received honorable mention accolades.

CCHS posted a 6-13 overall ledger this past spring, including a 2-5 mark in the CHSL.
