3 Fighting Irish Garner All-District Laurels

A trio of Central Catholic softball players have been touted for their performances on the diamond with Division II All-District accolades.

Junior Addison Brinkman was named 1st-team all-district, while junior Ella Schuberg and sophomore Makenzie Coleman garnered 2nd-team honors.

Brinkman hit .575 (46-for-80) with 25 runs scored, 10 doubles, and 23 RBI this past spring.  Schuberg tallied a 12-5 mark in the circle with 181 punchouts and a 1.79 ERA in 90.0 innings.  She also batted .536 (30-for-65) with 12 runs scored and 16 RBI.  Coleman hit a team-high .659 (54-for-82) with 38 runs scored, 14 doubles, 3 triples, 5 home runs, and 25 RBI.

This past spring, CCHS won the Cardinal Division Championship in its 1st season in the Catholic High School League (CHSL) under the direction of Head Coach Cory Bryan. Individually, Brinkman, Schuberg, and Coleman were tabbed to the All-Catholic Team.

All 3 student-athletes are collecting all-district recognition for the 2nd-straight year.  A season ago, Brinkman and Schuberg were selected 2nd-team all-district, while Coleman received honorable mention laurels.
