Get to Know CCHS Teacher - Abbey Stone

What subjects and grade levels do you teach? 
In Technology we have six semester courses offered to all grade levels:  Web Design I and II, Digital Video, Applied Digital Skills, Intro to Computer Science, and Broadcasting & Sound Production.


How long have you been teaching at Central Catholic?
This is my second year at CCHS, and my seventh year teaching overall.


What is your educational background? 
I graduated from Bowsher High School in 2000.  I obtained my Associate’s Degree in Computer Programming and Web Design from Owens Community College in 2014, and finished my Bachelor of Art, General Studies, Concentration in Management Information Systems from Southern New Hampshire University in spring of 2021.


What is the best kept secret about Central Catholic?
My technology lab!


What inspired you to become a teacher?
My mother has been an educator my entire life.  I tried other careers, but teaching has been the most fulfilling life choice to date.  I model my teaching methods after my high school Latin teacher, Mrs. Nauts, who exemplified being yourself and sharing your passion.


What do you like most about teaching at Central Catholic?
My favorite part about CCHS is the daily boosters to my faith in humanity.  The humans that enter this building are amazing.
